About D.AN.O.MA
The Data Analysis and Operations Management (D.AN.O.MA) lab liaises with the Faculty of Probability, Statistics and Operations Research of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Ioannina, Greece. It currently consists of 5 members including two (2) Professors, two (2) Associate Professors and two Assistant Professors.
The lab specializes in the data gathering, data visualization, data analysis and associated inference extraction as well as the stochastic modeling of any type of data. The lab's expertise embodies the application and the extension of pertinent techniques from the domains of probability, statistics and operations research so as to achieve the comprehension of complex systems and facilitate their application in the decision making process. Further, the lab extensively employs mathematical models and optimization techniques in a wide variety of research and industry problems..
D.AN.O.MA is also involved in educational activities. It regularly holds talks from industry practitioners so as to enable the interaction between academia and the applied world.
